SCANIFY Privacy Notice

This notice explains how Speechify, Inc. processes information when you use SCANIFY.

Information we process

• Account information handled through Clerk, such as your email address, account identifier, and authentication data.
• Document titles, uploaded PDFs or page images, generated PDFs, and text recognized from those documents.
• Basic device, request, diagnostic, rate-limit, and security information needed to operate and protect the service.

How we use and disclose information

We use information to authenticate you, create and store private scans, make PDFs searchable, provide support, prevent abuse, and diagnose failures. Clerk provides authentication, Railway provides hosting and database infrastructure, and Cloudflare R2 stores generated PDFs. PDF rendering and OCR run within SCANIFY’s server process; document contents are not sent to a generative-AI provider. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Cookies, permissions, and device access

SCANIFY and Clerk use cookies or device storage necessary for authentication, security, and session continuity. Camera and photo access are used only when you choose to capture or select pages. SCANIFY does not currently use advertising cookies or optional behavioral analytics.

Retention and deletion

Uploaded PDFs and page images are processed in memory and are not retained as separate source files. SCANIFY stores the resulting searchable PDF and recognized text until you delete the scan or your account. Account deletion removes active SCANIFY records, stored PDFs, and the Clerk account. Limited security, legal, or provider backup records may remain only as reasonably necessary and subject to provider retention cycles.

Your choices and rights

You can delete individual scans or your account in SCANIFY. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a copy of personal information and to appeal or complain to a regulator. We will not discriminate against you for exercising an applicable privacy right. Email support@vidifyads.com; we may verify your identity before completing a request.

Security and international processing

We use encrypted transport, account-scoped access, private object storage, and short-lived download links. No online service can guarantee absolute security. SCANIFY and its providers may process information in the United States and other countries subject to applicable safeguards.

Adults only

SCANIFY accounts are for people who are at least 18 or the age of legal majority where they live. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children. Contact us if you believe a child has created or operated an account.
