SCANIFY uses Clerk for authentication. Stored PDFs use private object storage, and downloads require authorization before SCANIFY creates a short-lived link.

SCANIFY uses your document contents to make the PDF and provide search. Here is the practical version of how that information moves through the service.

No generative-AI provider
Text recognition runs with Tesseract inside the SCANIFY server process. Page contents are not sent to a generative-AI provider.
Encrypted transport
SCANIFY uses HTTPS to protect information while it moves between your browser or app and the service.
Purposeful permissions
The Android app requests camera access for scanning. It does not request microphone, location, or broad external-storage access.
Security has limits
No online service can guarantee absolute security. Do not treat SCANIFY as the only copy of an important document, protect access to your account and device, and delete scans you no longer need.
